| OMCO has started its operations as a glass mould manufacturer in Aalter, Belgium in 1964 and has become Europe’s leading manufacturer over the last ten years mainly as a result of continuous growth based on acquisitions in Europe. The OMCO Group now has seven production facilities located in all major European countries enabling the group to focus on local commercial and manufacturing contacts. The mixture of the various companies have additionally created the advantage of specialisation enabling the OMCO Group to focus on maximising output of its continuous investments in the latest state of the art machinery. In 1970 OMCO has acquired a foundry in Hamme in order to supply in house the castings according to a very high quality standard both in cast iron and bronze. The foundry has continued to invest and increase its production capabilities enabling them to serve also third clients in the engineering world. These clients already represent more than 50 % of its present turnover. Beginning 2001 the OMCO Group acquired a second foundry in Slovenia, also specialised in continuous grey casting, in order to sustain the growth for required castings within the group. |
