In powder-fed laser welding, a focused laser beam creates a small, precisely controlled melt pool on the surface of the component.
At the same time, metal powder is fed through a nozzle directly into the melt pool, where it melts and forms a strong metallurgical bond with the base material exactly where additional performance is required.
